Deleting your account

Your How We Work account can be deleted entirely within the app. No enquiry is needed.

Steps

Open the app
Open Settings from the home screen
Choose Account
Choose Delete account
A confirmation screen appears. Read it, type the word it asks for, then tap Delete account

What happens when you delete

This cannot be undone.

What is removed

Your account (email address and display name)
Everything you have written
The share links you created, and the record of which items each included
The record of anyone having responded "Got it"

When you delete, every share link you have issued stops working. Anyone you have already sent a link to will no longer be able to open the page.

If that matters, we suggest letting them know before you delete.

About payment

Subscriptions are not cancelled automatically. Please cancel from Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your iPhone before deleting your account.
Refunds for amounts already paid follow Apple's rules. Please make refund requests to Apple.

Deleting the app alone does not delete your account

Removing the app from your iPhone leaves your account and everything stored in it in place.

To remove it completely, delete your account using the steps above, then delete the app.

If you cannot open the app

If you have changed devices or otherwise cannot open the app to delete your account, please email us at the address below from the email address you use to sign in. We treat a message from that address as confirmation that it is you, and will then delete your account.

If you only want to remove part of it

You can undo some things without deleting your account.

What you want	How
Remove one item	Open that item from the home screen, then Delete this item
Stop sharing with one person	See who you're sharing with on the home screen > that person > Stop this share
Stop supporting financially	Cancel from Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions on your iPhone
